I did a DAS course over the weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun/Test on Mon), all good passing with 5 minors.

I saw this bike up on eBay a couple of weeks ago, with a really shit description etc, and no one bid on it, so I emailed the guy for details.

https://i12.ebayimg.com/01/i/08/3f/07/12_1.JPG

A quick spec...

97 (R) Honda CB 500
19,000 miles
Full Honda Dealer Server History
Larger handle bars
Front screen
Belly pan
Front mudguard extender
Rear rack
Race can
New bridgestones
New radiator
Recent chain/sprockets
New brake pads
New fork down tubes and fork seals
No dents/scratches

The only things I've gotta sort, are a new LH mirror, a tax disc holder, tax, and clean the rust up on the rear shocks!

Not bad for £850 I reckon!

Big ups to mrTEE for collecting and storing the bike for me until I go to London (on Saturday) to pick it up and ride it home Very Happy

Will get some decent pictures once I've got it back home and polished it up!

It has about 57BHP if I remember correctly, 0-60 in about 5 seconds Smile

Dunno what MPH the clocks go up to, but apparently it'll do about 120MPH tops.

its 58 bhp fella, and 0-60 in 5 seconds is easy to reach, piece of piss to get a fast launch on, just hope your foot plate doesnt snap as they cost 147 quid to get new.

jsut maintain every thing on it as honda parts cost a bomb, i went to price up a new regulator/rectifiyer tonight as well as a new radiator....

.....£275 for the radiator
.....£143 for the regulator

so i said sod that ill go buy some rad weld and ill just bump start the fucker when the battery dies on me randomly!

edit- ive had 120mph out of mine on slight down hill gradient, 110mph is easy to reach, keep the revs above 6k in every gear and youll bee keeping up with most of the 400cc sports bikes and if u can hadle the bike you can fucking own them on corners as well.

You had a blinder there mate, for that price they normally have about 20,000,9347,934 miles on them.

Race can looks good, screen's nice, new forks etc is excellent, service history is bang on.

They're excellent bikes, I wanted one when I was looking to replace my MZ after it was stolen, but got the bandit instead as I couldn't find one without 20 squillion miles for under a grand.

You know it Gaz! I've actually been looking for one for quite a while (6 weeks maybe?) obviously I have to travel 130 miles to get it, but that only costs £10 via coach and train Smile . Definitely the best one I've seen for the money, considering the mileage, history, and the amount of money its had spent on it recently!!
