Getting shot with a BB gun whilst riding.

Today, well about 1 hour ago i was riding along on my bike and i could see a group of chavs parked up on there mopeds. They were pointing what looked to be a BB gun at the car infront, didnt think anything much of it until i drove past and they shot me in the thigh and neck. What would you ahve done? I wasnt going to get off because im not excatly the strongest lad in the world and anyway there were like 10 of them. I just went to the police station and reported it and they said they were gonna send a car down there straight away. Do you think i should have jsut gone to get some people to beat them up or was i right in what i did? I mean i have marks on my thigh and my neck so they must have been powerfulish guns. I knew a couple of there names as they are the local chavs, but didnt bother telling the police there names. Also i had to give my name, theres no way they can find out it was me reporting them right?

Ask yourself what you would have done if it'd caused you to drop your bike and hurt yourself. If you know the guy's, not just know there names you should've stopped and had a word. If they think your an easy target then they are gonna have a pop everytime they see you.

Personally I'd have proberly stopped in the road holding up the traffic and had a screaming fit.

I suspect if you'd stopped straight away and called the police saying you'd seen some youths waving a gun around; who also pointed at you (but don't mention shooting); that you'd have got a very quick response.

I believe if they can't be sure it's not a real gun they should take it pretty damn seriously.

Yeh that was the first thing they asked me, "it wasnt a handgun right?" so i jsut said no it was a bb gun. And i dont actually KNOW them jsut know of them, and as said before im not exactly strong so they would of probably seen the chance for a fight, however if i had of dropped my bike i think i would of done something. Im one of these people who appear quiet ect but when i get pissed off they would know.

If you know at least one of their name's then for goodness sake tell the police. It doesn't matter if he/she shot it or not, he/she was there and therefore probably had something to do with it.

They won't know it was you that reported it, all this police confidentiality bollocks, so you have nothing to worry about.

I think you did the right thing it no stopping. Plenty of people like to think they are hard but a gang of 10 can overwhelm you pretty quickly if they all have a go.

Just got a call from the police, they said they caught up with them and took all the guns away. Result! Really pleased witht he police in this case, i didnt think they would bother ringing me up but big to the cops!

Well i spoke to someone today who was there aswell, (he was younger, and i dont know why he hangs around with them, he seems an alrite person) and i asked him why the fu*k did thye shoot me and why were they shooting cars and he said that the police arrived anyway and took all the guns away and one of they may face prosicution as it wasnt his first offence. He said nothing about if it was me reporting them so
