I want to be old, but not feeble.

I'm terrified of not being able to do things for myself. I want to be able to live life right up until the end... and hope I can keep upthe energy I'd need. I've watched too many old people's live sputter out slowly... I'd rather just keep going.

My dad turned 70 this year, and although I know he's old I still dont see him as a pensioner....I think his dad lived til he was nearly 90. Looking at thos figures I guess I may have a few years left yet. God only knows how i'll afford to eat tho. Mad

I'll live as long as I'm having fun. If it gets miserable and I'm in pain, or unable to do things for myself, fuck it!

However, I'm going to use the excuse of being old to have so much fun. Pushing stands over in shops, being rude, smacking people with my walking stick ( This one!)... gonna be fun. Old people being mischeivious is great, I've learnt from the best (my nan smacking balls at people on crazy golf and my other gran shouting insults at people as she skis past...)

Always had the feeling that my Nan just had enough of life, children, grand children, great grand children, all her freinds going one by one etc. She just seemed to shut down and switch off. it was really sad but in a way acceptable and happy, she had done her time.
I want to stay young inside I think. Age is already creeping up on me and I don't like it.
