The latest is that Top Gear is coming back when Hammond's well enough to present it. Face it, the BBC weren't going to throw away that golden goose (mega ratings and plenty of awards).

What's up for debate is what the content will be. The producer's already threatened to quit if the health and safety types try and neuter it.

Its the programs content that makes the program what it is, and therefore the reason its won the awards though!

It's not quite as much of a manipulative rag written for people who can't form their own opinions. Wink

I've always loved Top Gear for as long as I can remember - even though I'm not a Clarkson fan, it's the only car show that I enjoy watching. GWS Hamster Thumbs Up

EDIT : I've just added my Penny Coin Penny Coin to the petition too

A bit late with this, i have been on hols.
Am I the only one who thinks that surviving such a crash, although luck probably played a part, shows that the safety procedures and protective measures must have been pretty good. Just a thought.

The safety precautions seem to have been nothing short of perfect. But the people who oppose these sorts of things seem to be of the view that if you cannot do something with a 100% guarantee of safety then it clearly should not be done in the first place.

Which is patently a load of bollocks.

Indeed!

Using the telephone? Careful not to drop the receiver on your foot or even strangle yourself with the cable!

Godforbid they fancy a cup of tea! They may burn themselves!

Wandering upstairs for a bath? I hope that has had a risk assesment! Not only may you trip on the stairs, but you might scald yourself on the hot water or even drown in the tub!

where the hell does it end?

I wonder if these self absorbed facist arseholes will oneday realise how fucking stupid it all is and feel even the slightest bit ashamed of themselves?

hmmm.... I didnt think so either... Evil or Very Mad Middle Finger

The safety features of that vehicle were absolutely A1 and a credit to the engineers who built it imo.
