Djr Posted this link a few threads down
https://www.thebikeinsurer.co.uk/free-insurance.asp?refid=bt03

What's this all about then, i'm getting my bike hopfully this week & need insurance & came across this which is ideal as it takes me time too find a good quote. But offcourse nothing is free so what's the catch?

When it says:
'You will let 1st Quote's nice kind team give you a quote on your next annual bike insurance policy'

Does this mean you have to take out cover with them if you use this free insurance?

Anyone used this before?

Thumbs Up

It is what it says it is, 7 days free insurance if you let them give you a quote, you don't have to buy anything from them. I've used that with Norwich Union before without any problems.

tried norwich union direct similarly when getting my new car (7 day free insurance deal through car dealership).

Me: "Hi, I'd like the 7 day free insurance cover please, here is the dealer reference."

(*go through all the details...*)

Them: "Right all sorted, that'll be £7:50 for the weeks cover."

Me: "I thought it was free?"

Them: "Oh yes..."

Me: "What's the quote for the year if I were to take this policy out in full?"

Them: "£581."

(*cue laughing on my part*)

Me: "I don't think so somehow, Kwik fit quoted me £290 and my current Broker is £380."

Them: "Oh, never mind then, looks like you won't be renewing with us..."

Too bloody right.

"Quote me happy"? My arse. Hilariously expensive quotations more like... Smile

K.

yeah it's biketrader, I got screwed by this, it's not even written on their website that it has to be from there.
