Unless it's cracked or worn through, hang on a bit and get a replacement on Ebay.

another episode in the saga that is: ram_doom's repeated bad luck. Seriously I think you must have ignored one of those chain e-mails that said "if you do not send this to 15 people in the next minute your bikes will all try and commit suicide" Wink

Knew those boots were shit for a reason.

I think that the digging constantly into your leg should of been taken as a sign.

Friggin alpinestars Mr. Green well if their hard enough to put dents in the tank and not pass on any impact pain to the wearer, I'm sure they'll protect well in an off at least...

Or totally destroy anything they come in contact with.

Least you're safe Wink.

Your new bike is emo, just like the other two were.

I can vouch for NRC cases, a mate just got one on his SRAD, not only do they look cool, they feel so quality.

But tbh, if you're expecting your case to hit the deck, you should be changing your riding style, especially so on the road!

What about a stock replacement and some crash mushrooms instead?

No no, I need to replace a casing after the bike fell over Embarassed and as oem casings are so expensive, I might as well get something a bit more flash and better quality for similar cash Mr. Green

WTdaddy, I have some crash protectors, got here this morning. If they'd arrived yesterday, I'd have fitted them and then the casing may not have hit the floor Rolling Eyes Laughing

Why?

Do you get a bike inspection at work and pay docked if it's not up to spec?

I've many times ridden around on bikes with damaged engine covers and big dents in tanks and oddly enough they still go, stop and turn Smile.

Obviously it's best to get something to prevent it grinding right the way through if it does happen, but <shrugs>, if it still runs Smile.
My personal preference would probably be a standard engine cover if you can get one cheap and a carbon protector, possibly with crash mushroom as well.

Oh and replacing the tank with a shiney new one is just asking for it to happen again Razz - battle scars are cool, anyway!

Oh the irony of it all Ram Wink

That's really shite that you've dropped your new bike already though mate Thumbs Down

If the tank's only dented i'm sure there's numerous body repair shops that'll take the dent out for you...there is here!

Good luck man Karma Thumbs Up
