Would people please stop judging me on what I am doing with my money!

It is my money and ill do with it what I want. I know I have posted on here about my baliff issues but thats sorted.

1)I now have a 22k year MOD bassed IT Job
2)All of my debts have been consoldated into one IVA meaning I pay one person £240 each month and im debt free in 5yrs.

This means the balifs are off my back, I am incontrol of my finances and I am so much better off each month and £7k better a year.

"This was a public service announcment brought to you by R1Stu"

Don't make a public service announcement about every nuance of your life then I doubt anyone will bother to put in the effort to write inane sarcastic drivel such as this.

Im just fed up people keep making comments about stuff they dont know about!

I say I got an R1, and I get a lecture from people saying shouldnt I pay debts 1st?

When the debts have been sorted and I have the cash free to do whatever.

The problems I had were b4 arrangments were made.

Because most of the debt is written off by your creditors?

that works because any decent IVA company will be able to use current legislation to have up to 75% of your debt wiped out, normally only applies to debts over 10k though

yep!

Appartnly most companys have a slush fund (as it were) its an insurance the creditor can use to get back money if they are unable to recover it normally.

An IVA is a nuclear threat , in that in debt a person can struggle on or go bankrupt ,

If a person is smart before (and visits a tax expert like my boss) declaring bankruptcy the loan companies get jack,
government is so pissed off at students doing this student loans CANNOT be escaped via bankruptcy.

Private finance is different hence it is better for a creditor to get back something rather than nothing , hence IVAs can
be considered to be bankruptcy lite.

Previously you can't pay a loan? , they sell it to somebody else for 60-80% of the outstanding amount, they can't
collect it? , they sell it again , until it comes to a bloke who will come round and break your legs every day and charge
you for that.

The price? , its like insurance loans % go up slightly to compensate for those who go onto IVAs/Bankruptcy
exactly like insurance and the uninsured. I see them being very common , if 0.25% interest rise can put the
shits into 1 million mortgage payers....

But still you bugger up an IVA T&C you get thrown into bankruptcy the full version.

yes and no it will affect your credit rating no matter what they say,
and the company has to get the money back some other way you know, so its not free ,

many people think compo money is free money and then go onto a bike forum and bitch about how much insurance costs.

yes paid for by all the sensible people,

its not all my money. and the reasons arnt all my fault.

1) I split up with ex and was left homeless, had to get a flat and buy stuff for it

2)All that stuff went onto storecards and credit cards.

3)moved house into shared place £1k rent month, they moved out leaving me with 1k to myself, squatted for 4months £4k rent owed.

4)Missus lost job, had to increase overdraft to pay bills and rent.

5) We moved intogether, had to get a loan to pay for deposit.

6)Brought R6

7) Got a loan to pay for professinal quilfiactions.

8) Got a loan to pay a loan

9) Wages from work got smaller and smaller.

10) Wages smaller than overdraft. HAd to cash cheques with grnt card to live.

11) overdrafts got bigger to cover chques

12) Charges for cheques clearing

13) Intrest on storecards and credit cards.

14) Loan to pay rent owed.

End results, too many loans, overdrafts higher than wages. Bills not getting paid so behind in them cause of charges.

So not entirelly my fault, this started when I was made homeless and took a paycut.

Good news that you've got your debts under control now.

But be careful taking on new debts.
Things can easily go wrong again ie. split with the misses, lose your job ect.

So taking on more debt so soon to get your R1 and car possibly wasn't the most sensible thing to do.

I have brought the R1 and taking driving lessons from the insurance money from the R6.

the wife is putting her share into a savings account so we can go away for our anniversary.
