My MIL just called me...
had no idea what she was on about Shocked

My two BIL's are construction workers. Have been all their lives. Never seen anything serious go wrong.
Until this evening

They saw the crane crash, one of the BIL (A) saw the bloke (that he knew) fall from a crane and hit a car Sick
Quite close Sick Crying or Very sad
Crane blokey is not alive. But then that is probable from that height anyway

Both BIL's are REALLY shook up. I feel really bad for them

Thing is for me...
my partner (the brother of construction pair) is away in Oxford doing exams, (microsoft prof 2 week course..back on Sunday)

Neither his Mum nor I have told him the full extent of the things his brothers are going through ( He knows brothers are on site, told him that nothing is wrong..they are okay)
The exams are important, thousands of pounds, and his brothers are okay
Confused

But I feel so guilty keeping this from him
I know it is for the best
He has asked for no un-necessary distractions (ie emergencies)
I am really biting my tongue
Fighting my feelings and doing what I need to help him pass
If I tell him his brothers are cracking up, he can't do anything anyway !!?

there not completely fine, they have been through a hell of a lot seeing something like that, thats the sort of thing a true brother would want to support.

Thank you WN Karma Thumbs Up

I have told OH that his brothers are both fine.. and told him to focus on the exams he has been waiting for
Nothing serious to tell... all details will be told on Sunday

His brothers are in a pretty bad way by all accounts

I would cry if I hit a dog with my car.. never mind witnessing a human being having that fate RIGHT in front of me Sad

i think that is for the best, though have you asked his brothers about telling him? just making sure that there understand the situation too

Mum has told them the situation
And, in their weirdy state, they sort of understand
His calls are forwarded to me now anyway
