Hi. What bike do you ride or thinking of putting them on?
My mate did have an SV650 untill he crashed, but he had them on his. They were more lengthy and thin, and have saved his tank also once or twice. I personally think it depends on how much your willing to do to protect your bike from accidents etc.
Also, you dont want some really ugly bits sticking out of no where
But I crashed my vfr recently, bent my mushroom and cracked the bolt on the frame was only doing 30ish when I hit a pedestrina, guess when it hit the floor it must of hurt.
Best of luck in finding some that are suitable tho

personally Id spend the money on a bikesafe course,
it wont help your bike at all when you crash but itll lessen the likelyhood of it ____________________ There is no point in ranting about someone stupid because there is nothing u can do about it. There is no cure for stupid.

Ron Halsam had them fitted to all his CBR600RRs at the Donnington race school, so I guess he must feel that they offer a benefit in a high speed crash as well (I suspect they have a wealth of experience of bikes going down).
As for bikesafe, if you fancy a rideout, book the course in Wiltshire - it's free. ____________________ Current bike: Kawasaki Z750S |

on a bandit there worth having, any bike that the crankcase covers will touch down easily could end up damaging the crank, cost of crank versus mushrooms take your pick ?
i go out on a regular basis pulling wheelies etc and have seen a fair few low speed drops where the mushrooms have saved the motor |

I had some puig ones, and in my recent off, the impact bent the crash bung and it disintegrated, but the left one did an awesome job of saving the left fairing panel etc, when some drunk twat picked the bike up and dropped it on the left side ____________________ TL1000s, KDX200 |

I tried to get up but absolutely couldnt, but thankfully dangerous_minnie from here was on hand to tell him to fek off, and rescue my shed crash bungs are therefore worth it, but dont expect it to do much if you crash at speed, or there's a serious impact... ____________________ TL1000s, KDX200 |
