My friend bought some mesh from B&Q, it was silver and after two weeks it was rusty and the silver was more like a grey!

Erm well i dont know what colour to call it really but its a sort of gold, silver and green flip paint type colour ( i dont know if you call it flip paint but it changes colour from different angles?? Rolling Eyes). It looks really nice, ive seen it on another bike and fell in love with it straight away, ive ordered my custom gold vtr, honda and firestorm stickers, all i need now is the gold mesh to cover up the bent radiator fins (if thats what you call them) Its going to look mint though, ive spent every evening this week going mad cleaning it, ive even cleaned the sump, underneath the swing arm and both the cylinders, lol although i do admit using metal polish to clean the fairing brackets might have been a tad much, still its gonna be worth all the effort in the end. Very Happy Its definatley gonna look better than one of those Ninja things eeewwww! Razz

Andrew, if you got some normal metal mesh, I *might* be able to convince my dad to electroplate it for you. If you would want that and assuming I could convince my dad to do it then, you would have a choice of:
Gold
Silver
Rhodium (Very expensive)
Platinum
Palladium
etc......

Give me a shout if your interested and I’ll ask my dad.

The mesh we used was just some 'surplus' from a sheet metal workshop. It did the job and cost nothing.

As Kris has said , gold mesh is available from the car part of demon tweaks. I have seen the gold stuff on a red/white/blue blade, it did look nice, if a little tarty. (Not that there is anything wrong with tarts Razz )

Saw a black storm with lots of Gold tarty bits last time I was at Box Hill. Looked pretty nice and the Mesh does go well on a Storm.

That competition mesh is tha shit! My mates got an RS250 and put some of dat shit on his radiator, it added about 50hp, dont believe me if you dont want to but its true! He said he got some competition stripes on it aswell whatever they are? That added like 10hp because of aerodynamics, basically his 2-stroke will eat all your 4-stroke pieces of shite!

Laughing God im bored! Im gonna do a bit of running around tommorow, hopefully ill find something that should do the trick, ill post pics when its all done Smile

Form an orderly queue to the toilet, and youll all need plenty of tissue Wink

yeah well my bike is like that coz of lack of money and Blays were telling me if you go over the top then the bike becomes harder to sell because customers become suspicous.

Yes, but if you plan on keeping it, then it has to be worth getting it done the way you want it.

But yeah personalisation of any kind can make a bike harder to sell.

Suspicous as opposed to blatently aware? Smile Dean there is going over the top (what im apparantly doing) and not going anywhere Razz

And dont give me all that lack of money stuff either, kornel has all the bolts for your fairings at his house, youre just too lazy to ride all of 30 seconds to his house and pick them up! Razz

And im not just talking about the bikes appearence, a lot of it could be fixed without money! Your headraces are looser than Jenna Jameson for example Laughing

Sort it!

I 'think' Tin bought his wire mesh in Halfords.
They sell it as about A4 sheet size, with the aim to fixing holes, before you repair them with all the filler.

I used 3 sheets of the stuff to create my kit-car grill, to which i sprayed black. It should work ok, providing you dont bend it too much after its sprayed, as all the paint will just drop off.
