Today I received "throttle rocker" and attached it to my W650.
I felt my right hand be numbed when I cruised on a motorway for 3-4 hours, so I ordered this item cause I saw some bikers praise this item on their homepages.
Attaching was very easy. Fit a rubber ring and throttle rocker on throttle grip end.(Rubber ring isn't necessary if grip size is big the manual says)
After I found a "nice" position, I could cruise at any speed only by putting my palm on my throttle. It had round shape down to the left side so it didn't disturb control at low speed.
It costed me 2600yen+600yen carriage in japan. A little bit expensive but I'm pleased with it.
9,90 Euro in official HP below.

Hi

Not really had a problem with my wrists on longer journeys.

Something to have a similar effect on the seat might appeal Wink .

All the best

Keith

Probably having problems as you are gripping the grips to tight, cheaper to learn to relax instead of riding with white knuckles. Wink

Nice to have you back - how about a long term owner's review of the W650? Smile

Wotcha.

I have 'em fitted to both my trikes - but I don't have one on the bikes. I wouldn't be without 'em now, they make life much more comfortable on long runs.

This bike is safe for licence and enough power for long ride at about 120km/h with humming, and very good petrol consumption.
I have ever had LS125R, CB400SF. Compared to CB400SF, W is a little bit slower than CB with seriousness, but carefree ridden W is faster than carefree ridden CB. CB gets 9/10 points at winding and 5/10 points on highway to winding, W gets both 7/10 points in me. What I didn't like in CB was high revving note at 7,000 rpm @ 63miles/h(100km/h). Mine was 02spec and vtec Starts 2valves to 4valves change at around this speed and I can't cruise in a calm frame of mind. W is 3,500rpm @ 63miles/h. Torque peak is 5,000rpm(5.5kg) so W rather gets into W's stride @ 75-80 miles/h.
Basically W engine is good at low-mid range, but revs till 6,000-7,000rpm very smoothly at the same time. This enables to enjoy quick ride at winding in 2nd & 3rd gear, and to enjoy highway battle at 113miles/h. Every japanese bikes has speed limiter at around 113mils/h, I can pursuit most of bikes if necessary. W has 19 inch tyre in front, 18 inch tyre in rear, handling is not quick but natural. OEM tyre is Dunlop TT100GP, good balance of grip and life. Brake is very poor. Front is single disc and rear is drum. I changed brake hose to plot one, brake pad to that of GPZ-1100 genuine one(found this tech in https://211611.homepagemodules.de/t492597f11740886-Bremsbelaege-fuer-die-W.html ). Now W has fair brakes except rear. I don't like brake touch of drum brake. Suspension is a little bit too soft. Nose dive at braking got worse and now I dared to order White Power front fork spring and rear suspension and waiting for arrival.
In total, very good bike for cruising at 75-80 miles/h, with low maintenance cost, but it has more guts than american cruiser. I think I will have this bike more than 5 years.
p.s. I went back but couldn't find brand-new tank bag at petrol station ouch. I'll order another one and don't care.

They used to have two licence classes, and the second one involved you laying the bike down and picking it back up again.

Nowadays there is only one class of bike license iirc.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

no wonder scorching hot super sports 400s don't exist anymore, and there ain't been any hot 400 sports (specifcally designed 400 sports not like the crappy SVs which I see with sleeves fitted in the cylinders) lately .
