What would I ned to do to partake in a track day?

Was thinking of taking my NC30 to one when I have it all fixed up, least that way I cant hurt anyone.

Would I need a special license?

No, you'll just need a road licence (with counterpart).

Then you just go along to a website such as www.hottrax.com pick your event, pay your money, turn up and ride.

An NC30 is almost an ideal track bike.
Your first trackday I'd say your choice of track should be one quite geographically close to you.

there's also an FAQ at the top of this forum that you should read.

don't need anyting special..

regular full (usually unresricted) bike licence will be enough.

Need full leathers, bike boots, gloves and an ACU gold helmet

take insulation tape, to tape up your lights, indicators and mirrors. Persoally, I prefer removing my mirrors all together, but that's up to you.

Note that some circuits are iffy on restricted licences.

Silverstone I haven't heard anything dodgy about.

I wouldn't worry about taping lights up if they're plastic. The idea is to stop them shattering if you crash, but have a look at a lot of them and they are quite a similar material to your fairings!

Silverstone is fine with a restricted licence.

For example Yokogeri did his first trackday (a week after passing his test) & handed over his provisional licence and a test pass certificate.

Focused events will not allow a restricted licence according to their T&C's.

I never bothered taping up the light's on my R6 as G say's their plastic lenses, if you've got a bike that you cannot turn the lights off, I wouldn't either as the glue will usually melt.

Be prepared for your cheque book to take a pounding. It can get very addictive Very Happy

NC30's are indeed great trackbikes. The chances are you'll see at least half a dozen others there.

Definitely remove your mirrors, on the nc30 it'll probably save your screen/front fairing if you come off.
