What happened here? (a siggi type experience)

What happened here?

I got chased by a completely random person in a taxi, It wasn't a standard BMW
chase where a bored commuter thought he'd liven up his commute, it was nut after my blood.

I didn;t filter him kick his car or do anything to him I saw him come out of a junction I passed (not filtering) in my mirrors
and all of a sudden he speeds up behind me and starts flashing his lights honking his horn revving the balls off his car,

He then proceeds to chase me down standlane about 1ft from my rear wheel even though
I decide to move over, (I do normally dominate my lane to prevent being bullied on the road
but give way to nutters) he over takes and cuts in real close and brakes hard in front of me
expecting me to crash into his arse , but I swerve round him on the right and I duck into the
Esso on Standlane and he follows me , I pull a quick U turn round the pumps
see a very small gap and shoot out into a mercifully empty road turn left into an estate

And lose him like that.

I'm thinking what the hell happened there then? a random nutter I was unlucky to meet?

As said I did nothing to him was going at the rate of the traffic (ie not religious speed limit
watching) and no I didn't get his plate either

any thoughts?

How dare you, on your (insert bike type) pass me. Ive been sat in traffic all day and you can just make sensible progress ahead. Bloody bikers should go to the back of the queue like the rest of us.

Get his number? Report the bugger to the council or Hackney cab authority (depending on where you are). Tell them you're a concerned citizen and judging by his behaviour, he may be mentally unstable and could present a danger to the public.

More likely to get a result than calling the police.
