Just a quick question here.

Where on a GSXR750 would a professionally installed alarm be fitted?

Under the tank? Behind a fairing panel?.

Reason for asking.....my mates alarm/immobiliser has packed-in and we cant even find the black-box to check the fuse.

Thanks in advance.

Gordy

normally under the seat the fuse will be located in a separate fuse holder. where this would be fitted is anyones guess possibly nearer to the battery once you find the alarm follow the wiring and that should lead you to the fuse

Thanks for that. We found the alarm unit under a side panel.

Upon inspection, it absolutely wreaked, unquestionably burnt-out. Actually, the siren has sounded a bit squarky lately.

We have now disconected the alarm and it is not repairable, but....
Apparently it is possible to short out a couple of pins on the connector block and get the bike going again. Does anyone know where th information might be available. Either which pins or perhaps a diagram of the alarm.

Its a Meta system M357T.

Cheers

Yeah it is possible to short some wires and its more than a couple. No chance me telling sorry.

Forum unspoken rule. We never tell how to bypass an alarm.

Hi Sickpup, it's my bike with the problem, although Gordon originally asked the question.

Would a PM be out of the question then?

I know its too late now as the alarm is kippered, but when I fitted an alarm the fuse would go in a random place, so its not easy to find. It would be different on every bike wether its the same model or not. Then I would tell the owner where it is and nobody else. Wink
