There was a 4x4 meeting today in chichester.
I wasn't going to go but got a phone call this morning telling me to come so I did.
Was awsome tho 100's of 4x4 ragging around an old mud quarry. |

Samurais are absolute legends can't you jack them up by putting the leaf spring mount on the other side of the spring to get an extra 4 inches or so?

Are the routes you take bike only as I recon the SJ would be quite at home in that water!
Maybe I'll fit the snorkel first.
[quote="gavin"]my old sj was a heap to look at/quote]
So is ours, just cover it in mud and it's fine! |

All the byways are roads so they're open to any vehicles, that was out on Salisbury Plain and when the army aren't blowing stuff up it's all open to go where ever you want. Do see 4x4's out when greenlaning, and on Salisbury Plain there's loads of different tracks to go are there are people driving around there as well.
That puddle was about waist deep, not sure I'd want to drive through that in anything other than one of the massive army trucks or tanks that helped make it.
Snorkels are great; everything's good until they go beneath the water like it did there, draining the engine of water is fun especially if you don't have a socket to take the sparkout and there isn't a decompression lever. |

I've been doing a bit of greenlaning with Dom .
We always go to boats and end up finding signs saying bikes only or stuff like that. |

Emptied the oil today.
https://www.okas.co.uk/stuff/oil500.jpg
7 oil changes later and I think it's sorted, 6th one looked alright when I drained it so that should be the last of the water out the engine.
Won't be doing that again. |
