My little run around Blue Suzuki GLS

https://www.bikechatforums.com/files/dscf5174__medium_.jpg

https://www.bikechatforums.com/files/dscf5329__medium_.jpg

1.0, 2001, 47,000 miles (got it on 32,000 3 months ago Shocked ), never let me down once. 13" O.Z. Racing alloys, GTi sideskirts and higher spec GLS spoiler. Got some good ICE going on too Cool

And the new toy, my '94 Swift GTI Razz

https://www.bikechatforums.com/files/dscf5422__small_.jpg

Standard GTi 1300 Twincam 100bhp engine, Reclining bucket seats, 15" multispoke alloys, superchipped, K&N panel airfilter.

Blew the GiT up last night (it needed a new engine when I bought it for £200, only lasted 50 miles, didn't get out in it much), but whilst it was running it was quick as fuck and handled like a go kart Very Happy Now the GTi alloys and interior are going in my blue one over winter whilst I rebuild her.

The GLS is a bit boy racer and chavvyish, but the GTi truly is a little pocket rocket, it's such a nice car, I love it!

Cheers,
Jon

Like the way the clock stops at 99,999. It's like they don't expect them to hit 100,000Miles.

What if you exceed 99,999 miles? does the clock go back to 0? or does the car never reach 99k?

Laughing Question

Your very young aren't you.

Reminds me of this young lad work shadowing me at work, that came up with the comment that he'd never been in a car without air con.

Laughing Question

It rolls round back to 0, the GTi has done a true 80,000 miles and the third engine has just blown. Nice and reliable Razz

I've only done 50 miles since I bought it, I knew the engine was about to blow up I just didn't know when Laughing I'm gonna replace the whole lump, but this current one was fitted with high rise cams and the superchip, which the new lump won't have.

Then again, the car does need some welding for an MOT, so I'm wondering if it'd be better to break her and buy a fully working mint one Rolling Eyes Need to think it through.

That rocker cover was once shiny blue Sad

The oil everywhere is from when it blew up, it put a hole somewhere I think because every drop of oil came out of it when I stopped (rolled to an industrial estate at the bottom of the hill).

It wasn't *quite* that bad before it went bang lol, am gonna paint up the inside of the bay whilst the lump is out too.

I wish I had taken pictures of all the cars I have owned but here are the pix I have of my motors!

This was my BMW 325i that I had for about 5 years, great cars and go like stink!

https://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f374/philwild/Pic1606-2.jpg

My Mondeo V6 Ghia X, sold it to my Father in Law so I could buy my R6

https://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f374/philwild/Image006.jpg

This is our current fleet. A VW Golf TDI and a Citroen Saxo. 1.1 litres of pure tyre shredding power!

https://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f374/philwild/Pic1619.jpg

I am still a great fan of Old-Skool beemers though, I am going to buy a 635CSI for a weekend toy when I find the right one, always loved them when I was a lad!

I've got a full bike licence at 18, no mention of B1 category. It only comes with a full car licence i think. It absolutely scuppered my plans for getting a quad in winter.
