hi,
recently bought a 04 plate rs 125 with just over 8000 on the clock, i have now found a problem wit hte bike,when pulling away in first gear it fell like it wants to cut out,thus not very good when coming out of junctions it just feels very very week in first gear !!! the bike is fine in the rest of the gears and ticks over fine.
any ideas????? Confused

if its fine everywhere else i suspect you just arent using enough revs. they have a tall first gear and bugger all torque below about 8000rpm.

you need to find where the power comes in and feather the throttle and clutch to keep the revs at or above that point as you pull away.....

i used to have one before a 98 model then i got ma nsr,weather iam just used to the nsr iam not sure. Crying or Very sad

When at lights, i had to keep the revs up to around 2000- i couldnt let it just tick over or it cut out.

Then i got a bigger bike and it stopped.

you have to keep it spinning at at least 5k and slip the clutch, otherwise you'll get nowhere fast! Thumbs Up

my mates is the same they need to be screwed for them to go or thay struggle i think it might be to do with the aprilia 2 stroke factor
