Yup they do work. Just picked myself up a cheaper Oxford Ultra Clear insert for £2.90! works quite well. ____________________ My bikes are at https://www.bikepics.com/members/dynamight/ |

Yep, I have one in my clear visor. Pinlocks are neater though and I'll be getting one of those for my light tint visor, as that already has the pinlock pegs. ____________________ Current bike: Kawasaki Z750S |

I've an unopened pack of fog cities sitting in my shed that I'm not going to use! They are next to the unopened heated grips! ____________________ How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could Chuck Norris?

Had one last year, defo worked well although mine had a stupid tint in it which meant that i couldnt wear it in the dark.
I now have a ProGrip anti-fog insert with light sensitive tints to it. Fantastic insert, absolutely brilliant. That coupled with my foggy face mask means i havent been fogged up once.
If you get one, spend the extra 15minutes on it when fitting it to get it right. Ok so it might be a bit frustrating sitting there marking out your visor so that the insert lines up correctly, but trust me - it saves A LOT of hassle later, and a lot of sticky residue marks on your visor from failed attempts. Also the more times you have to peel it off and re-locate it, the less sticky its going to be. Thus more chance of it falling off / relocating itself, and also more chance of your breath getting between the insert and the visor and fogging up in places you cant get to, to wipe clear.

I have a cheap visor insert thingy that I bought for 7 quid from Bevon's in Cardiff.
I originally bought it just because it's a reflective visor tint that looks cool (Golden - goes well with my helmet), but upon wearing it I've also reaslised it stops my visor fogging up
It's easily to put on but then it also has a bad habit of coming loose when I'm riding with my visor up - it's only stuck in qith some adhesive tabs that come with the visor and they're not too strong.
Also it's a pretty strong tint so wearing it in anything other than bright sunlight is a bad idea.
But for 7 quid I guess you can't complain ____________________ Yamaha YB100 | Yamaha TZR125 | Yamaha XJ600S | Suzuki GSF600

I have covered the best part of 60,000 miles with a fog city insert and find it to be fantastic.
I tried the Oxford one in my 'Shoei' and it was poo, ripped it out and replaced it.
Mrs had an Oxford one in hers, just the same, ripped it out.
I now have 'Fog City HYPEROPTICS' insert, been in for over a year and i wouldn't be without it. I get NO double vision in rain or with headlights, nor does it pool water at the base or mist up.. |

Well I bought a Fog City Light Reactive insert for my Arai on Ebay today. Got to work today with a headache after riding all the way into the sun.
It says it 'fits' Arais with visor vents and pinlock, but I think it just fits around the pinlocks rather than actually uses them.
Some people mentioned light reactive inserts that were specifically for the pinlock system but I couldn't find them anywhere. ____________________ About me|@Major_Grooves|My company|Digg|Flickr |

If you use a hair dryer carefully you can actually remove the FC insert and re-fit it without too much trauma. |

I got my Fog City insert yesterday and fitted it for the ride to work this morning.
It doesn't use the pinlocks directly, but uses them to guide the positioning which, from looking at the instructions, looks like it is much easier than for a non-pinlock visor.
The tint level once it has 'reacted' is only very slight. Nothing compared to a dark visor. However I think it is just enough to take the worst of the glare off the morning sun.
However, I think mine has some kind of fault. Just to the right side of the centre of the insert is a 4 inch band of some kind of 'misting'. It's hard to describe but it looks as if it would if you were holding it in a beam of light. I can just slightly see it when riding. I found that some of the reflected light through the visor seemed kind of distorted and I'm not sure if this is the reason why.
I have another one coming so I will soon see. ____________________ About me|@Major_Grooves|My company|Digg|Flickr |
