Replacing only one tyre

My rear tyre needs replacing but my front must have a couple of thousand left on it.

Is it okay to replace just one tyre on a bike if I get the same make (BT45s)? 'Tis just for commuting.

Yeah won't be a problem at all.

Used to do about 4 rears to 1 front tyre when I had the hayabusa. No way could I have afforded to change the tyres in pairs.

Sure, the front wears out roughly half as fast as the back anyway.

I just gat an Avon Azaro rear tyre. Apparently they're good for 6k plus if you are commuting.

Just had to do the same thing with my ZZR when the rear (with 4k left on it) sucked up a 6 inch nail. Swapped the rear 020 for a new 020 and it's fine. turns in a bit quicker Smile

. Will need to change the front in 2.5k or there abouts...

i stupidly replaced both tyres on my YZF when there was more than a few thousand miles left on my front...asked the guy for it back when i went to collect them be he said he'd binned it.....aye right Rolling Eyes

its no problem to change just one tyre, i nwish i could get away with a couple fronts to one rear mine get knackered at the same time Thumbs Down
