Being 27 going on 60 I spend a lot of time muttering under my breath at TV adverts. I never cease to be amazed at how people (the majority?) fall into the spell of the world that is put before us by the marketing man. A world that would be perfect if we just bought their products.

Still, some do impress me visually and have got me wondering what marketing world I would choose to live in. The one I like at the moment is the T-Mobile ad; I like the idea of being able to fall off a building onto the soft pavement and sliding my hand through glass. Oddly enough, what ruins it for me is having to have mobile phones in this world. Not a bad song either.

Other than that, I quite like the idea of living in one of the Smirnoff ads; never a dull moment.

What advert would you choose to live in and why?

The last Honda advert where they went through a monkey bike to a fireblade then an F1 car and a powerboat would be a nice dream world to live in.

Indeed. But let you're imagination rule your opinions for a second. Given the fact that the worlds on offer would be perfect (due to purchasing said product), is there one you'd like to live in?

Good choice, would be nice to have them lined up outside of your house!

My daughter pointed out how unbelievable adverts can be (good for her Thumbs Up) with the Yellow Pages ad. It has James Nesbitt phoning for an insurance quote for his 2 seater Corvette and his wife/girlfriend/partner/whatever tells him she' pregnant. Next scene has him tring to get a baby seat into the Corvette.

Daughter's comment "Oh right, he's really going to have a baby seat just lying around".

Out of the mouths of babes, as they say Very Happy

All adverts that come on at our place get *muted* immediately, and generally we speak to each other during that silence. If Im alone, I generally run about getting a drink or to the loo, so rarely actually watch them...

My favourite ad at the moment would be the trail that BBC2 are running at the moment, now this would have been some concert.
