I've had a Hein Gerieck (SP) textile tribal jacket for a few years, no problems, no leaks and warm enough for Autumn. I've also a Spada jacket that I use when its real bad, can't remember the name but it was about £50 new.

Trouser wise I have leathers for the Summer and Some JTS cammo ones for the colder months, they have zip out linings for when it get real cold. Cost was about £70.

A Spada jacket won the Ride winter test last year and it was about £80 I think. Try to get an armoured gore-tex jacket and then you should be waterproof and protected. Mind the outside pockets though, a lot are not waterproof.

Cheers

I have Akito Pythons too, and had no real problems in about 18 months of use... and the last 2 months used daily.

Not what you'd call breathable for warmer weather... but I've been caught in some pretty heavy downpours and they've never leaked once Thumbs Up

For the price I can't fault 'em.

Bought mine nearly 2 years ago at Aberdare Road Races.
£80 for the jacket and trousers together... Basically paid for the jacket, and the trousers were "free"
but I've just seen on fleabay that they're already available a hell of a lot cheaper than that Wink

Keep your eyes peeled for specials in Lidl and Aldi.

I got a Lidl jacket and trousers for £100 the set. From what I can see, I suspect the Lidl kit is made by Hein Gericke, due to certain ways various bits have been made, stitched and generally put together.

well worth the money if you're on a budget, and has CE armour already installed.

I have a buffalo jacket for winter, I don't know exactly what it cost but I think they are quite reasonable.

My husband has a similar one which is a few years older than mine - he (very kindly) crash tested it Exclamation and it did very well. Everything held together just fine and I think if he had been in his summer (mesh) jacket he would have been in more pain than he was.

I use a Frank Thomas textile, it has removable liner and I can honestly say it keeps me both warm and dry and it cost me less than £100. Had it for a year now and still wearing fine, machine washable too!
