Its a Rotax engine so any garage can service them. But saying that its an easy job to do yourself. I have an 1150 and thats a peice of piss to work on.

Don't go to a BMW dealer as they charge waaaay too much!

Nick has the R1150gs and loves it! Spoke to our mechanic at local yamaha dealer where my bike came from and they said they wont touch BMW for servicing. Its very ltd here on the Island, we only have three main bike garages/dealers. Nick has to take his gs to Alton nr farringdon for this service, on a plus of that though they are very good and give him another for the day to use so we make a day away out of it.
At the moment he only has the standard can on his bike so mine sounds much much nicer, like a bike should sound I tell him, his sounds more like a tractor but does go like shit off a shovel mind Laughing

Maybe its cause they know other garages wont touch them so can charge what they like. However, when Nick asked what his service would be they said around £150 mark which I thought was acceptable, will know more next year when we take the trip over I guess Confused

don't mean to sound rude but they don't seem to have alot of poke for a 650cc and the tank isn't very big either.
