Sigh. Dropped my bike today.....

It's been a right twat again today, firstly it ran out of juice on the way to the petrol station (Himself's fault cos he's been tweaking the carbs & air filters this week and been out on it a few times without filling it up ) and of course it ran out on the wrong side of a bloody dual carriageway that I couldn't push it across or even walk across it was that busy so I had to sit at the side of the road and wait for him to come & rescue me......

I suspect that running on the bottom of the tank dregs has dislodged some sludge or something (although I have an in-line fuel filter on it for just that reason) cos although there was now fuel in it it showed all the signs of running out again about 10 miles up the road.

Managed to coast it to a stop in a safe place, knocked it down to neutral (I thought ), put the fuel tap on prime and pushed the button to re-start it. Bastard thing was in gear, leapt forward and I dropped it, managed to lay it down gently so no damage other than a scrape or two on the exhaust but I couldn't get it back up again! Luckily a couple of nice chaps passing in their car stopped and helped me pick it up so I was able to limp it home.

It's now sat on the patio loking smug, and I am on yell.com looking for the phone no of the dealer with the 800 Suzuki.........

Dont worry, same thing happened to me with my 400. Rust in the tank blocked the jets in the carb and it conked out. Bump started it and the thing leapt forward and dislocated my arm

I'm sorry Craig but I have owned 15 kawasaki's and had no reliability issues with any of them, from tracking them, to touring on them and to off roading on them I have covered over 25,000 miles in 24 months on them. I think basing your opinions on kawasaki's in general from owning one that misbehaved is very narrow minded.
