hello all. been reading the forum for ages now and this is first post.

passed my das on Wednesday, after 3 months on a scoot and 9 on an NSR.. only 2 minors so I am really chuffed.

Went out looking for a new bike today, decided I was not ready for an out and out sports bike but picked up a great ducati 600ss.
spent all day just riding nowhere and done 200 miles.

there seems to be loads of cheap ducatis about at the moment.

My 600ss is a 95 m reg.. only done 8100 miles full history and is mint. only cost me 2800 of which I got 2000 for my 2001 nsr.

As i'm a bit of an oldie the insurance on the 600ss is only £164 tpft... a mere 20 quid more than the NSR as a learner.

Not looking forward to the servicing costs though

Had them changed by the shop prior to buying,

Went to box hill today, crowded and very very hot, anyone see the accident at the roundabout just along from Rykers, looked pretty nasty.
