Went passed two bloody petrol stations too, but it was too late to stop...thought i'd make it to the next one

So thank you to JP for riding for an hour there and back to rescue me

Thanks Shaun for keeping me Company with the texts (even if you were taking the p1ss and telling me you told me so )

Oh and while i'm at it, thanks to M1ke also for really scrubbing in my new tyre...had done 200 miles on it and thought i'd done well only to have one coloured band left...obviously not

Well...he bought it back in one piece anyway

Glad i'm not the only one to run out then atleast now i know how long i have when the light comes on

Had one 4x4 driver stop, a guy on a cg and the lady in the house opposite where i was sat asked if there was anything they could do... cup of tea would be nice says me turns out she used to have an nc30 and her o/h still rides...oh and the guy in the 4x4 just happended to be a biker too...good bunch arent we?!

not as bad as running out of fuel in the middle of northumberland....about 20 mile from any civilisation. But some nice northerner give me some fuel (Was actually 2 stroke fuel and smoked like a biatch but got me to the petrol station )

Then i ran out of fuel on the way home, on the A64 just out of leeds, i intended to come down the A1, A19 and A61 but somehow ended up on the A64 and did about 30 mile more than i needed to do, so if i hadn't of got a bit lost then i would of made it home

I actually did this on the Suzuki copy of the C50 when I was 16.

In Ripley in a country lane miles from anywhere. One very imposing country house with stables.

But I thought "Oh what the fuck" and rang on their iron bell pull.

The guy emptied his sit on lawn mower can into my tank. He refused to take the 50p I had on me (this was a while ago). I think this is when I learnt that most people are fantastic.

On an offshoot I went to do a job at a very very big place last week, and being an ardent socialist I wanted to hate her. Oh and I am talking Surrey stupid money here. Aui pair, cleaner and ten builders on site.

She was absoluteley charming, incredibly friendly and thankful.

I'm happy to have her as a punter.

the most i have seen on reserve is 30 miles!!!!!!

I get roughly...hmm about 60/65 miles to my reserve

But then again i do get about 100 mpg on average
