Looks like it, a bottle of chain oil, a piece of plastic tubing and some cable ties...

Yep it is a cheap mans scottoiler,

Cost me £18, less than the dual injector HEAD for the scottoiler costs.

Laughing.

No, you have to squeeze the bottle yourself as far as I know. I just bought a Scottoiler for my bike, £30, laughing.

My God, a Loobman.

I haven't seen the actual Loobman (the inventor) around for AGES. Dennis his name is, used to be a courier. Is he still alive?

Blimey, what a blast from the past, LOL.

Loobman's are pretty good.

Have done 20k on the chain on my 550 with the aid of a loobman. Okay it hasn't got much mileage left in it, but I've put this chain through some abuse so am happy with that figure. Think I oiled the chain manually 3 or 4 times over the 20k miles.

Nick fitted a Loobman to his Strom and had no trouble with it whereas I have the scottoiler and have had a few probs with that so goes to show that the cheaper option can sometimes be better after all.

Well I'm well please with it.

Rear sprocket teeth are all shiny, and all the shit on them has quite literally flown off, chain is nice and healthy looking too now.

Only regret is not buying one sooner.

Cheers,

T

I heard he got tragically snapped in half.

Apparently he was going 160mph round the M25, on his '98 R1, when his chain rusted solid onto the rear sprocket, and his bike stopped dead.
