Well I've not seen it before and have read it with horror.

I'm afraid I'm one of those who always wears my full kit and gets on at those who don't!

I don't think it matters how many times its posted if someone reads it for the first time and learns from it.

I agree with Tiger777 - I had never seen it before either and it certainly makes me glad I've started wearing full gear every time I go out on the bike!! It's definitely worth reposting if it'll make someone change their attitude to being on a bike! FFS the other day I saw one guy carrying a pillion who wasn't wearing a helmet!!

Theres probably plenty of dead car drivers that could have been saved if they had fitted a full roll cage and worn a helmet. People are free to draw the line where they want.

FFS, have you lot got nothing better to do than sit there all day waiting for someone to fall into the 'REPOST' trap?? Get a fucking life, you lot really get on my tits, why the hell should everyone go back to the beginning and check every post, on the slight off chance that they might (SHOCK, HORROR) post something that is not completely original.

If you have nothing better to do than cry 'REPOST' at every available opportunity then you are a sad twat of the highest order. Now fuck off and stop ruining my day.

Wankers.

I understand that but that is when admin should merge threads and tell people why. I don't normally have much time to get on here, so I don't have time to check if I'm reposting and it really pisses me off to see one person posting something they think will be interesting, followed by 20 sad bastards all trying to be the first one to shout 'REPOST'.

It's turned into some sad competition to see who can be the biggest twat and find as many versions of the repost as possible.

Sadly phpbb doesn't have a merge function, otherwise we would.

I agree. It is the most childish and counter productive thing people do on here on a regular basis....and it is fucking annoying that some people seem to take such pleasure out of it.
It reminds me of a kid in a playground who's always seen the latest film - 'seen it', 'seen it!'

If something has been posted before then I say it's fair enough to direct the poster to the previous threads about a subject and leave it at that.

On this occasion the "repost" police are spot on. On the first repost the original was only 2 from the top when the new thread was started. This one started when the other two were well to the top, if not both in the top ten threads.
It's not hard to have a quick look to see if it's mentioned elsewhere before flying in and posting.

Then, as a suggestion, why not just add a post with a link to the other thread and then lock the thread to stop further posts?
Would that idea work? Confused

It's not that simple though, is it? People think of their own titles and the ones in question were:

Pink Power Ranger Down!!!

Road + Skin=Pain

REASON TO WEAR YOUR GEAR

Without reading every thread before posting your own, how are people supposed to know that they are reposting??

I reckon map has a top idea, lock the repost thread and re-direct to the other thread. It does mean work for admin but, in these extreme cases, it could be an option.

In the mean time, the next person to jump in shouting 'REPOST, REPOST' is a twat Mr. Green

Cheers

Grim
