Justice...? Call that justice?
Those two fella's that were finally convicted of killing Daminola 6 years ago, were tried under child law because they killed the boy when they were young teens. It cost the public £16million pounds to try & convict them...and they get 8 years. BUT because they've already served 1 year in remand, they will probably only actually serve 3 years on good behaviour.

They will be in Youth custody, not prison due to their sentencing..where they have own rooms, dvd's, tv's, holidays etc.

They showed no remorse for their actions, but because they only stabbed him once and with a broken bottle, and said 'it was an accident' they only got manslaughter and not murder...

Its outrageous...

They should be put in a a damp old building and have the shit kicked out of them 24/7, but then that'd be breaching their so called fucking human rights. What utter tosh. Thats an outrageous sentance 3/8 years for killing someone, Take a life, you should get life. Bring back capital punishment Thumbs Up

If they go to Feltham YOI, they probably will!

The sentence may well have been within guidelines, but it was a disgrace, for the simple fact that they were vicious fucking scum at the age of 12/13 when they killed the poor little sod. They've spent the last 6 years honing their criminal talents, and with dozens of convictions to their names they are full blown fucking vermin.

They will NEVER be any use to society, unless we ship them to the Falklands and make them help the penguins clear minefields.

No doubt, even now, there are do-gooders from the Prison Visitors group chatting to them in Domestic Visits, agreeing with them that they've been stitched up by the nasty racist police.

Happened with those 2 lads who kidnapped a baby & took him upto the train tracks & threw stones at him & killed him, they was out in a few years.

And yet you get more years for robbing a bank or hacking a computer.

Their crime was horrific - but as far as we know it was their only one. The two creatures that butchered Damilola Taylor were already a net-loss to society when they were 13 - they've gone on to prove themselves ever 'better' shits since then. Extermination is the only answer, and all their friends, and anyone who thinks how they act is cool.

Even better, send them out in shrinkwrap to our lads in Helmand and Basra, and use them as mine and ambush detectors. They think are hard men, let them prove it.

Even so, they were old enough to know right from wrong. But what i don't get is how they can be kept in for such short time, can't remember how long but i know it wasn't long. They actually kidnapped him (Sentence in itself) then killed him.

Didn't they get new identities too? I wonder if they regret doing it.

I'm not dismissing the horror of what they did - just saying that the Preddy vermin were far worse - and yet got away with it for years, and have effectively got away with it again.

His sister has started at the University my Dad work's for.

Apparently she's a very timid and scared young woman, alot moreso than just a normal quiet shy person according to my old man. So it's had greater affect's than merely that of killing an innocent child. It could well likely mean this girl face's problems for the rest of her life due to it.

Even more reason to have the people who murdered the kid strung up.

The injustice of thier sentencing makes me want to scream. Being in Youth Custody will probably be preferable to thier home lives. Take a little boys life and get a holiday in return!!

I agree that life, should mean life. Not taking another life in return, a life in custody. The death penalty is too easy. Seeing out the rest of your days in prison is much better punishment in my opinion.

But then like pwntifex said, how do you distinguish being taking life in cold blood, an accident, or self defence Question
