in singapore,it is very common to see a car "kissing" a motorbike's butt, while the car can simply overtake the bike from the other lane.sometimes, the lane beside the car is clear,no car no bike, just nothing.but it just keep tailing the bike in front.I don't really know what on earth are these drivers are thinking, are they trying to signal the bike in front to move to aside so that it can overtake without bother to change lane?do they ever think of what happen if the bike break suddenly because of something lying on the road?
guys,is such situation happens in your area as well?

best bet is to move over. especially if you are on a scooter and can't out run them.
then when you get to traffic lights, slip past them in the gap..
and if you are feeling really game(im not recomending this) kick their car
i doubt it'll teach the braindead drivers a lesson, but it feels good ____________________ the humans are dead

you do realise he lives in a totalitarian state don't you? , kicking a car = crime people WILL report you and you'll be sent to prison and have a government sponsored public beating for your troubles.
not flushing the bog / washing hands etc
Its often wondered how the singie government catches people its a modern day take on Sharia law , a witness is all that is needed ,
such that all citizens there are government informers , generally out of spite , read up That Singie girl with bad teeth , who became a porn star , in the UK nobody' give a damn , but no they had to go tell her parents. ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die. I'm guessing the traffic laws are different in Singapore (duuurr) but over here if you are on a motorway/dual carriageway and the inside lane is clear you should move over to allow traffic to pass you.
It's rules 116 & 238 in the highway code, not that anyone ever pays any bloody attention to it, bane of my life, bloody idiots etc etc mutter mumble etc

or just fit a huge 60 litre top box which is about as aerodynamic as a house brick , I didn't notice it meself but with a top box on the back everybody said the rear skips around alot as if I was going at high speed (NTV gets unstable @ 110mph and the rear skips about), not that I notice the slow speed stuff. ____________________ Spain 2008France 2007Big one 2009 We all die. flash my brake light, if that fails, hold it on, if that fails, slow down a little to make the gap infront bigger, if that fails brake hard but just enought to make the bike squat, if there not going to pass and ther just out to anoy, pull over and let them go on there way, hopefully they will plow into a stone wall on the next bend not harming anyone else apart from themselfs.
often a turn around and an evil stare works for me.
or let them pass, then pass yourself taking there wingmirror with you. ____________________ Current : 06 Zx10r, 07 Wr450f SM, 74 850 norton commando, 63 bsa b40, 1962 Triton 650, 67 Triumph Tr6r, 1955 Triton 750, 1978 TY250E. |

My order of preference:
Killswitch backfire
Turn around and stare at them
Wobble the bars
Brake lights
My fav for the killswitch backfire goes as follows:
If they're tailgating, start gradually slowing down and looking around the bike really confused, like it's running out of petrol and start pretending to fiddle with the fuel tap or something. This gets them even closer than before (not recommended though). As they're really close, do a killswitch backfire making sure you twist & release the throttle while the engine is cut out. With the driver being so close and a bit more narked than before they don't expect a huge backfire, and they promptly shit themselves and give you a huge gap With you looking around the bike they think there's something wrong with it and don't come anywhere near you again
Bonus points for doing it in echo-ey places like tunnels and roads with walls either side. |

Reasonable revs, not loads though. It only works on carb'd bikes though. If your bike doesn't have a killswitch you can apparently do it with the key too |

Kind of... Here's a guide I did for someone:
Get some reasonable revs, about 4 or 5k does it and back off the throttle completely.
Kill the engine with the killswitch and blip the throttle (hold it open longer for a louder bang).
Let the throttle return to its resting position.
Flip the killswitch back to its ON position.
Et voila, one backfire. Sounds best in tunnels and areas with high buildings/walls.
Letting the throttle return to totally off is important. If you turn the engine back on with some throttle open you'll lurch forward. Most unsettling
Edit: You can backfire fine without twisting the throttle at all, and just letting it roll along, but this takes longer and doesn't make the bang as loud. |

back fires are great, i can get about a foot long flame coming out of my system, ive actualy made car alarms go off before now.
mine seems to be alot bigger and louder if you dont use the kill switch, and use the ignition.
[edit]
oh and if you still have an xr, it wont work, tryed it on my mates, only reason my 4 stroke 125 did it was because it had no baffles ____________________ Current : 06 Zx10r, 07 Wr450f SM, 74 850 norton commando, 63 bsa b40, 1962 Triton 650, 67 Triumph Tr6r, 1955 Triton 750, 1978 TY250E. |
