Balance the carbs? Razz

Have you check the chain and sprockets? And the chain adjustment?

Also check the clutch adjustment

Hi

Only Duke I have riden was a 600 Monster. That was nice enough but did judder around at low revs (it was brand new, I rode it home for a freind who had just passed their test). With a few revs it was fine

No doubt if the carbs were out of sync it would make the problem worse.

All the best

Keith

Having never owned a Duke I can't say if it's part of the bike's character or the fact that it's a new bike with few miles on it.

Remember when new, most bikes will have quite a rough feel to them and may feel a bit jerky concerning clutch, gears and brakes.

You may also like to consider the fact that it is a V-twin after all,and may not be as smooth as an equivelant 4 cylinder machine, especially at low engine speeds.

where is the juddering - my vx shakes at tickover, but smoothes out with about 1200 rpm going (tickover is about 700 rpm).

Ask the shop.
