As I was getting my helmet on yesterday levaing work, I noticed the police helicopter hovering around. Took a differet route home as I needed to get a new brake light bulb from Halfords. About 2 miles late I stopped at Halfords and relaised the helicopter was overhead again. When I came out of Halfords they were still there. Rode off, to get the way I wanted to go you have to cross 4 lanes of traffic in about 100yards. As a result it is often quicker to go up to the next roundabout and come back. Rode the 1/2 mile to the next roundabout, it's one with traffic lights on it. Sat at the lights and notice the helicopter is hovering overhead again. Another mile later a make a left turn and there it is again. Got home and rode up the alley behind the house and they start circling the area. The helicopter stayed overhead for about 5 min as I put the bike in the garden and changed the bulbs.

So, it seems a bit of a coincidence that their route was exactly the same as mine. Were they using me as training?

Cheers

Dave

It reads like the beginnings of schizophrenia.
Have you been stressed recently? Maybe take the day off and see a Doctor.

Been smoking weed?

You were right to be worried, police would get usually get multiple helicopters for someone with their brake light out, were lucky that they didn't stop you with their unmarked armed response team which'd have been very nearby if the helicopter was right overhead. Wink

they could have mistaken you for someone else?

if you were double backing and making strange routes they may have found that suspicious?

or its just a mega conincidence?

They were probably just arsing about or training someone up, and following a stolen bike in the helicopter is (we'd hope) a common callout, so it's good to get some practise in.
