I am looking for feedback on a new website I recently launched aimed solely at fellow bikers.
www.sorrymate.com is the website and I would like to hear your thoughts and opinions either way. |

Honset feedback...
A) If you're want feedback, then why post in a 'news' section?
If you're advertising your own site, posting a news section would be considered spam done the way you have done it. I avoid sites that use spam to advertise.
I'd be happy to move the thread, if there was some confusion.
B) Too many images, took a bit of time to load on my work connection.
I don't like excessive images.
C) Also, search engines don't get on so well with images used for text.
D) The 'claim' page should have a contact number on - if you take such things over the phone.
E) The claim page should have a bigger text box and details of what you're expecting to be presented with.
F) Your events page is very empty. Fill it, then add a link to it.
G) Personally, I found the design a bit too cluttered, maybe too many pictures? The extra bits were a bit distracting from the main page.
I).. Could go on, but then my day job is being a software tester picky bastid.
Regardless of those, it is actually a professional looking page that's a hell of a lot better than many I see out there.
From that page, would I trust the company? Don't know if I would - but them I'm also pretty cynical.
Oh and wanna sponsor a bike racer in the (very Patriotic!) Triumph Challenge Championship next year? |

Dear Auntie BCF, because you are asking a question of the forum.
And you ask a friendly mod, who will move it for you . |

If you really want to give to the bike community why dont you stay in contact with us on the forum and give advice as and when its needed. You'll be under no obligation to do so as you will only know that there is an issue seeking some legal response when you log on. Hence you can maintain control.
In this way you will have a better understanding of the issues we bikers face, gain confidence from the many bikers that use the forum in doing so increase your client base from the members that may engage your services
Thats marketing IMHO
As for me its study time again ..... Equity & Trust law tonight |

"sorrymate.com is a non-profit making organisation" Solicitors working as non-profit making...? Ermmm, sorry, that seems slightly unbelievable. |

Agee with G's comments above.
Like to add that the use of colours is inconsistent. Red is used for links but also text that isn't a link (e.g. Straight talking biking experts... and also every occurrence of sorrymate which also isn't a link.
I can understand the need to identify the site with sorrymate colour scheme, it's just inconsistent with the use of links.
Similar to G my day job is being a software engineer picky bastid
Overall impression was (as G said) too much graphics on the left and right. Plus a lot of text to read in the middle. Wasn't punchy enough to get the site's aims over without a long look.
Site also says it gives legal advice. However, I can't find any indication of how credible and authoritive that advice might be (hence my first comment where you hide the fact you're solicitors). For all I can see the 'advice' might be given by a 14 year schoolboy from his bedroom PC (extreme example to make the point). A little hint, what do you think the 'About Us' link should say?
I'm also suspicious of the "sorrymate.com is a Claims Management Company. Weren't the no win no fee merchants discredited a while back when you had to purchase insurance to pursue the claim. Maybe all ok now, but that's the memory I'm left with. If I am then I'm sure others are as well.
As requested, just my thoughts ____________________ ...and the whirlwind is in the thorn trees, it's hard for thee to kick against the pricks...

Day job is marketing, and got to agree with the above comments.
Far too many pics/graphics which distract from the already too much text on the home page, looks like the site is still in construction IMO as very little content in the other pages, and are your testimonials so few that you have to repeat them?
Agree with the claims management statement above, whilst understanding that it is best to be upfront on this it could be worded better.
And you might be better to remove the "*insert logo of car manufacturer " at the bottom of each page as this gives my cynical mind the impression it is a templated website adapted to each particular type of ambulance chasing the company wishes to pursue
If it turns out to be you are genuine and can improve the lot of bikers than good luck to you, and tbh as you should know WOM is the best form of advertising, so hang around and dish out advice on forums such as this and the biking communities might just take you to heart. Assuming you stick around and are not another false dawn ____________________ Fallen Angel "Nae sniffing my seat now!!!!! "
