Well, I don't believe in all that shit - but maybe it does have some truths!

Going through Bromley town centre earlier on my way back from work, about 30mph, keeping to the right of my side of the road, looking for an opportunity to filter (but not yet filtering or overtaking) - when some cunt in a new focus decides they want to ruin my day and do a u turn.

Smack goes the bike into the side of the car (lovely big dent made Wink ) - and bang goes my chin straight onto the tarmac (with helmet on). I'm fine, nothing but aches and bruises. Saved by the Jacket + Helmet!

Bikes more or less ok, inexpensive repairs (indicators, levers, footpegs etc) - focus has a beautiful bike shaped dent along both doors and the rear wing, and I have someones details who stopped to have a go at the car driver for not using their mirrors.

Oh, and thanks to the bloke on a Maroon Triumph who stopped to see if I was ok or needed a phone. Much appreciated if you read this!

Now, my freinds - i'm going out to get very drunk Smile

I so hate it when I see people doing U turns - I'm on the road most of the day and see it happen so often and my first thought is of the poor biker they may hit next time.

99% of the time its so obvious they've not used their mirrors Evil or Very Mad

Anyway, glad your ok and hopfully the dent in the focus will be a reminder for them to be more careful in future (we can but hope!)

Don't forget to go to the doctors for the personal injury. Your wrists/neck/back must be hurting. Insurance companies steal from us daily, so get some money back from them. Don't believe it when they say it's the fraudulent claims that up the premiums. They'd put them up anyway. You seen the offices they have in the city? Is that necessary? I have an insurance company as a customer, and the boss, and all his family drive the nicest motors and live in the poshest houses! I'm not jealous, honest!

By the way, didn't you know, it's bad luck to be superstitious!

Talking of which, I got notification of intended prosecution today from a scamera that flashed a few days ago. Funny thing is, I KNOW I was doing 40 as I looked at the speedo when I went through it. They say I was doing 50!. Hmm, I think I'll start a thread.

Old Thread Alert!

The last post was made 19 years, 185 days ago. Instead of replying here, would creating a new thread be more useful?
