wwell, cant type so good at the mo due to me high siding my bike at 70 mph on the coast road...
come round a bend, not fast for the corner, hit a shiny bit in the road, petrol i think, or desil.. the back end fish tailed out right round the corner, skidded for ages (mark is huge) hit a grass verg, bike flipped over 3 times i flipped twice and landed 26 yards down the road (i measured afterwards) Shocked ended up going in, and under a load of nettles and thorns, wich im very glad of.. as if they wernt there, i would of been dead.

remember thinking "oh bugger" skidding, then flying and thinking "whens it going to stop, please dont let me hit anything.."

got up, checked bollocks, looked at the bike wich is imaculate on one side, bot side fairings are untouched, but front end is caved in, cant belive crash bungs saved it at that sort of speed/crash.

damage to me is a sprained wrist and small cuts on my back were my jacket came up.

damage to the bike is, well, alot, forks gone yokes, nosee cone, cl;oxk surround, frames twisted, but i dont care, as im here, funny how a crash like that givs u a reality check, im lucky to be alive as if i didnt send it into a bush i would of hit a stone wall...

like to say thanks for the guy who gave me a lift home with my bike in the trailer, all the guys on bikes, all the people in cars that stopped, and a big fuck you to all the people that drov past staring, espesialy the guy who laughed

of corse, ive got pictures, will post asap.

weres that spill counter?

steve

Glad you're OK Thumbs Up

I find it utterly amazing that people can see something like this and just drive on by. The fact one passer-by was laughing is just astonishing. I hope karma comes and bites him in his arse so when he's trapped in the wreckage of his car people do the same.

As Joe said, I hope that driver finds himself weeping and unable to extricate himself from his car, whilst people ignore his plight... well maybe not, but I hope something bad happens to him Thumbs Up

Blimeh! good to hear the damage to yourself isn't too bad (can allways buy new bikes)

A mate of mine had a similar crash, his wrists are held together with steel pins (because they were about as usefull as useing jelly and trying to use that for arms) yet his bike is still arround 7years on! (smashed the front forks and clocks)

i had a slow 30mph off round a roundabout and my bike came off looking ten times worse than that.
how could you high side at 70 mph and the bike flip three times with such minor damage???.
just wondering.
cause sometimes it can seem your going so much faster when things go wrong.

Wow, seems you and the bike got off lightly from that one Shocked

When I came off thats exactly what I thought 'bugger' and 'hope I don't hit anything' (didn't talk to the bike though!)

Glad your ok and good luck getting the bike fixed.

Which part is it that's twisted. Just looks like a bent subframe to me. :S

Glad you're ok, that could have been so much worse Shocked Side fairings don't generally get smashed in flips, as when the bike is spinning, the weels, top fairing, tank and seat take the impact, as they're further from the point about which the bike rotates during the flipping. It's a safe bt that the R&Gs did nothing untill the bike finally landed. Still though, i suppose they saved you some nasty scratches.

Man, I cant beleave someone was laughing at you. Glad your reasonabley ok though.

I rember when I was stopped on the side of the road. Some pricks in a car where shouting out I was a tramp who couldnt afford a bike with an engine and all that bullocks whilst they was in traffic ( only slight traffic at a roundabout )

But I wasnt broken down and I jumped straight on my bike caught up with them when they was stuck in traffic and just sitted there next to them for ages. All 3 of them shitted it.

But I know just how much it pisses you off when people do that, or at least pisses me off.
