Question for the girls! Sorta bike related!

There was an interesting article in the paper last week. Apparently most women tend to have a slightly longer index finger than ring fing( men are the opposite) or they're about the same size. Someone has done some research which has shown that women with longer ring fingers tend to be more athletic. Its something to do with exposure to testosterone in utero.

Now I'm not particularly athletic but my ring finger is just slightly longer than my index finger. I've always been a bit of a tomboy though & I just wondered is there any link between finger length & women being bikers? Most women seem to think bikes dirty & dangerous so do I just love bikes because of a freak of nature?
So (girls only) lets do a quick survey - which is longer in your hand - index or ring fingers?

Well.........on my left hand, my ring finger is longer than my index finger

and..... on my right hand the index finger is slightly longer than the ring finger

and I ride a motorcycle......so make of this what you will

LOL re the athleticity (?) thing.

But if this is a "I was a tomboy as a girl" count, then that'd be me.
I used to like playing cowboys and indians, The High Chaparral was my favourite programme.

Even when we were playing Barbies, I managed somehow to make it a regular thing that they had to do the haka (during which, for some reason, they took off all their clothes) .

Plus, I was always disappointed there wasn't a Scruffy Barbie

Well totally unscientific but 60% have longer ring fingers when with girls its supposed to be the other way around. Had a similar result on a different forum. Interesting but of no use whatsoever!!

Both my ring fingers are longer than my index fingers too. And yes, I was a bit of a tomboy when I was younger!

But the thought of anything athletic makes me want to curl up on the sofa!
