talking of pictures, is it as straight forward as click attachment then open, or do you use imagshack? please explain as I want to put pic of my bike up

You can use either way mate.

For adding an attachment just click the button, then click on open and browse to the file then click submit.

Normally I use imageshack.us and just post the direct link to the image inbetween the [img][/img] tags.
