hi everyone,thanks for looking, Wink Thumbs Up
im currently splitting the crankcasings in half and have got a little stuck Sad ,so far there about an inch and a half apart but they wont come no further even with a great force,here are a few pics to show you what they are like.

sorry about the crap pics but it was getting late.
i havent touched the right hand side as ia didnt think i would have to remove any thing and it would just pull off,Is it just the seal been exstremly stiff or do you think there is something stopping it on the other side,i have oil the seal but it didnt seem to make any difference,I dont have a manual so if you know of any internet manuals please tell me as it would be a great help(the cr is a 94-96) if you know or could suggest what the problem is please reply, thanks Thumbs Up Very Happy

my manual should be with me soon, if i can il send u a copy,

but i think u wil have to remove clutch bascket.

oh also, do you know of anywer on the internet to get barrels and pistons for the cr250s, iv not been able to find anywer,

hi mate,thanks that would be a great help,as for the barrels,they are extremely expensive to buy new so i would reccomend a second hand one try ebay,im sure if you just type it in on google lots of shops will come up, thanks

gana take barrel down to local eng bit see what they can do but im unsure as ther plated rite,, maybe get a cast iron one pressed in or sumthin..

i hav a gd barrel but sum mug dropped it an snapped the skirts of the bottom lol.

anyway i found this site has online fice mite be of sum use,

well i know on my kx you get the barrel skimmed then a zinc sleve put in, adds more performance also, so im sure you can with your cr250 Thumbs Up

So by the looks of it you haven't removed the clutch cover, the clutch basket or the alternator, correct?

im on the look out for a manual Thumbs Up ,i did think i might have to do it all like i did on my dtr but it looked like i might be able to get away with just doing what ive done.but now i know i carnt ,anyway i couldnt be bothered with all the trouble that i got with my dtr so my local mechanice said hi will split them for £10 so thats solved the problem Laughing Thumbs Up
