hello when i am on my bike and moving there is a noise like squealing and whistling. I have a feeling this is coming from brake dust or something. Is there anyway i can get the brake dust off the disk as i feel petrol may corrode the pads.
Many Thanks

Never use Petrol.

It catches fire easily...

It has additives that spoil the friction qualities of the brake linings. And your paintwork.

Buy a Can of 'Brake Cleaner'

eg

or similar.

This stuff works better than petrol. Honest.

Is it squealing when you apply the brakes or all the time? If its just when you apply the brakes it might just need some shim grease on the back of the pads.

Thanks for the replies Thumbs Up . It is when the bike is in motion at any time not just when brakes are applied.
Many Thanks
