*lol... i may be being naieve here... ive never broken a limb before... I don't know how long they take to heal! Very Happy

I feel soo gutted! lol Its such a let down. Im due an x-ray sometime this week! lol... I hope its alright, just a bad twist or something.

i'd be looking at next year now. Breaking a leg and your out of plaster in 4-5 weeks at 16 but physio + getting back to strength is the minimum of a month and up to full strength is 3 so if your lucky to ride a bike i'd say mid january.

Or some people might ride their motorbike with a cast on. Whistle

EDIT: Depends where you've broken your foot. Might not even need a cast at all. Many of the bones in your foot splint themselves with the bones either side when you break them. Bones take 6 weeks to heal under normal circumstances.

Depending on how badly broken it is and how immobile it is, you may have trouble walking for some time after that. Physiotherapy is fun too. Shocked

My wrist was pinned and then had six weeks in a cast. It then took six months of physiotherapy before it stopped hurting and got as movement back as was possible. Then it took another six months for my right arm to be as strong as it was before.

Yeh, it was fun. Neutral

If you're lucky it won't be a displaced fracture; if you can still walk on it just now, the chances are that it won't be too bad (in my completely unqualified medical opinion Wink .)

Ermmm, if you break something shouldn't you be on your way to A&E to have it sorted rather than waiting til sometime this week to have it xrayed? Confused

Yup, thats what I was meaning, his dad thinks its broken so don't you, like, go to a hospital and get it fixed?

If I thought I'd broken something I'd go along to A&E fairly soon, if a GP thought I'd broken something I'd go straight to A&E where they can find out if it is or isnt broken. Anyway, makes no difference to me, it's your ankle and you that's wanting it to be healed by a specific date so I'd have thought the best way for that to happen would be to get it fixed but I'm not a doctor so I don't know about when its best not to get things fixed.

Well, I would imagine that if you were a GP and thought your own Son needed urgent medical attention, you would get it sorted out PDQ.

He obviously doesn't think it is all that serious.

if your foot is still injured then but you can walk on it then, you could always take your cbt on a scooter? at least then you'd have the cbt, and you wont have to worry about using your foot as you only really need one for a scooter.
