On the way to Mothercare (don't ask), I thought i'd call in.

Its shut down.

Nearest one is now Leeds, (feck that).

Ahh well, can only blame the internet.

Looks like i'll have to get all my stuff at the NEC .

Wasn't their Bradford store where they sold off the end-of-line and other stuff off cheaper? Remember going to find it a few years back. Can't say I was impressed by the savings. Pokey little store from what I remember, but Hein Gericke ones generally are (anyone being to the York one Confused).

Sad really as I like Hein Gericke stuff. I find it's generally well made, lasts and fits. The downside is you have to try the clothes for size and their web site is non-existent for ordering stuff.

It shut down a month or 2 back which is just typical. It's been open for years and then it shuts down 2 days before i was going there to buy some stuff for the first time. The Leeds branch isn't too far though and for all the little things BFM 5 mins up the road in Shipley is cheap'ish and has most things in stock.

I found a Suzuki place nearby that had a clothing section, but hardly any boots.

BFM do you mean Bradfor Motorcyles, the one at the bottom by Foster square if you come out of Tesco's and turn left?

There's also Earnshaws in Huddersfield, but they are well expensive. Couldn't believe the prices.

The Cardiff HG is a big one but I haven't been back there, nor do I intend to since one of the staff insulted me lol.

He came in from the carpark and said to his colleague "Some moron's actually locked up their Diversion out back".

I said "That's mine."

"Why'd you lock it up? No one's going to try stealing that heap, hahaaha."

Screw that HG.

Nah, i can't stand that place, i go there are a last resort. You carry on along the road that Bradford motorcycles is on (canal road) for a couple of miles into the centre of Shipley then take a left at the lights onto saltaire road. They are very cheap for tyres if you barter them down a bit, last one i got was a BT45r for £60 fitted.

HG means though you can go in try on then go buy online , I don't like buying online for this very reason , I can get Cabergs the cop version for £115 but can't try them on as nobody stocks them.

True that.. though I tend to know that I'm XS size on pretty much everything. Mr. Green

I seen you mentioned BMC. That's where i bought my bike & whenever I go back I just haggle prices on gear with them, give it a shot. The more you buy at one time, the more you save.

PS on gear ask for Chez Junior Wink

Chester HG is fairly large, but I still go to J&S Northwich for all but the most urgently needed stuff. Better value for money, and wider range to choose from. For tyres, I go to demon tweeks in Wrexam. Very good fitting service and competitive prices!

second hand ebay stuff is better than hein gerick

but hein gerick is good

i live by one and i just bought a bike rack from them as believe it or not, second hand tt600 racks go for more than new ones !

if i ordered one mail order, id have to pick it up from a delivery depot, but hein gerick just hold it until i go pick it up

Wellington Street, at the juction with Neville Street... right in front of the former/renovated St Davids hospital Thumbs Up

I've actually found Cardiff HG staff to be friendly and helpful.
As a newbie I bought my AGV lid from them ready for my DAS last year, and couldn't fault the service. I've since been back to have a look at an Arai Walker rep, and was offered a deal on leathers or other accessories on the spot Thumbs Up

Also been to the Cheltenham HG which looks about 3 times the size of the Cardiff store... but the Cheltenham staff seemed uninterested in offering help
