So heres how it goes:
Riding home last night...ooo liam dont forget you need 2 stroke oil!
Wake up this morning...ah i need petrol off to station...fill up
And off we go...2 miles up road...thats nt a nice noise. Oh fuck no 2 stroke oil. (insert title here as i curse!).
So i tried putting some more in the oil tank in the hope id get some back into system but it doesn't like it. I have yet to try putting oil straight into petrol tank. My bike is a suzuki fr50, very similar to a Honda c50. What is the worst i could have done? bearing in mind it will kick over and run but wont idle. If i rev it, will run fine. Also under load say after a couple of mins it whines and gives up.
Is there anything i can do to try save my lil baby?

Thanks!!!
Liam

Ok, im not going to dismantle anything myself, ill do more harm than good. I just kicked it over at it will run for a short while at idle but not for long. It sounds normal. Is it ok to try puttin oil into the petrol tank to see if it has any effect or should i just get it to a mechanic asap. Wats the cure for a partialy siezed engine....a new one?

Thanks

oil in the tank is sweet as, fill you you normal oil thing as well, it'll smoke a bit more than normal, as you'll have twice as much oil running through it than normal,
if you have seized it, you'll probly need new bearings, piston, barrel, and rings, not terribly hard to do on a 2 stroke Very Happy
might be good excuse to upgrade to a molossi kit or something like that Very Happy

keep running it. you'r not going to cause any more damage than you have already, if it keeps running sweet, then good, if not then it was going to completly go any way.
good luck

How much i looking at for that! Sounds pricey!!!

The recovery guy reckons a new engine for it would only be 30-50 quid anyway from a broker? Thoughts?
I need to go purchase some 2 stroke oil. Thanks for the HELP so far.

Damage is already done, putting oil in the fuel won't help. Best idea is to get the top off and inspect the barrel. If it's scored buy a new one, if it's not buy a piston kit. It's a very easy job to change the piston.

YES! YES! YES! Apparently all is ok. I went to my local motorcycle shop, and he had a ride. He said that the bikes does seem to be moaning a bit. So he also suggested sticking some oil directly into petrol tank. He said at the most there maybe some minor damage to the piston but nothing to be concerned about. He told me to go for a ride to get the oil in the petrol tank into the system. And after an apprehensive start the batmobile is now running as normal. Very Happy Should be interesting when this oil gets through, going to have some major smokage! lol. thanks again for your reply, i feel at ease that i took it staright to a mechanic rather than just attempting to fix it. You been fantastic and i think im stupidly lucky. These bikes are mechanical genius they just run forever. I think a c90 maybe in order at 17! Don't want to piss on your chips but it's bollocks that there is no damage of some sort. If you seized it then the piston or barrell will be damaged.
The least it will probably need is the barrell honing. Don't be concerned about bearings and the like, but the damage to the piston and barrell will only get worse.
It's totally impossible to tell the true extent of it without looking.

Its been a long time since I ran a two stroke so just for my own interest, if a bike is designed to use a pumped oil feed and you put oil in the petrol tank doesn't it cause the mixture to weaken?

Correct.

If you don't bleed the system you'll be pumping nothing but air for miles. Another seize is on the cards

Correct again.

If you put to much oil into the mixture it causes the engine to run lean.

Another route for another seize.
