Im after the same sort of thing, but finding it hard to come up with something that isn't about a manufacturer or looks tacky.

So far i've come up with a 50's style lady (Curvy bitch like they had on WW2 bombers) Sat on a bike wheel not a bomb.
But i can't draw so mine looks guff.

Edit:- I have put this sort of thing in google but i can't find a page with several images, anyone know where to look?

Hmmm, might be an idea, but it is very basic and looks a bit....um...i don't know how to describe it.
If you're going to get a silhouette of a bike, lot's of detail would be better.
It's a hard one..

the girly pictures on american bombers were usualy taken from the vargas pinups of the time, but the elvgren pinups might be worth a try as well. This place has a pretty big selection:

Bear in mind that a bike tattoo will date very very quickly.

On the film BikerBoyz for example, the main character gets a Gixxer 600 SRAD tattooed on him. Even just a few years later it looks old and shit.

Getting a bike tattoed on you is like getting your girlfriends name tattoed on you IMO.

Even the outline drawing will date as bikes change shape...

Also, i imagine if some old chap got a tattoo of his favorite BSA bike when he was in his prime, i doubt he's look at it now and think it's shit.

if it looks dated it doasnt matter becouse its what it means to me and not the 17 year old on his brand new bike. it may look dated but its still a bike

and thats why i dont want a certain bike like a srad i was just thinking about the silhouette of a bike

SRAD and Brough Superior, hardly in the same league.

I have a mate who has a big v-twin engine on his back, but I can't find a pic of it anywhere. Sad Not sure if it's fully finished yet but I seem to remember it has a lot of green flames around it too.....

An engine might be cool, but a Japanese four might look a bit odd though...

Are you familiar with the tattoo magazine, Skin Deep? Their current issue has a 'bikers and tattoos' supplement that might be worth having a look at.

I think I chucked my copy away or I'd have sent it your way.

I don't have any bike tattoos, though I have lots of tattoos.

Used to work with someone who was into harley's and he had a harley engine, with flames around it, on his back. It was a nice piece of artwork.
