Hello
I need some help on derestricting an sv650s 06 model.
I have looked at the injecting system to see if there was washers between that and the engine and there was none i have checked exhaust nothing there and i dont know what else to check can anyone help me on this and help wll do.

your bike will most likly be restricted via the ecu, did you buy this bike new? and get the dealer to restrict it for you. what i think normally happens is that the guys the restrict your bike keep the "full power" ecu untill its time for the bike to the derestricted. then they fit the thing back. Will be ways around this but i dont know any.

buy a full power ECU off ebay/ breakers.

AFAIK the dealer should have given you the unrestricted ECU back when they fitted the new one - after all, it's part of the bike that you paid for, it's your property, and there's nothing to say you have to go back to the same dealer to have it derestricted (e.g. what if you moved house to the other side of the country?).

I'd ask your dealer if they still have the original ECU.

I got it sorted the dealer changed the ecu for free after a bit of talking and the bike is flying now and now i can keep up with the other lads.
