Could anyone advise me on where i can purchase side panels/fairing for an Aprilia SR50 2006 model (NOT Di-TECH). I have searched the net with no luck. I can only seem to find panels for the old SR model, which are no use. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,
chris

Pretty much all manufactures don't sell official parts to anyone else except dealers, certainly fairing panels! Pretty much any garage doing repair work will be able to ring up the UK distributor and get them in, but only in 1's and 2's to ensure they can't start stockpiling them. It's done that way to ensure they can keep the prices high.

So you will have to pop into your local Aprilia dealer and talk to the guy/girl at the parts counter i'm afraid.

Why not trying to get in contact with an italian dealer (search the web)

You'll find that the bigger ones usually speak english. And you might even save on parts!

Good luck.

Ahh. I failed to see that it was an 06 model. Rs 50's are a pretty rare bike as it is, as most 16 year olds "cant be botherd" with gears. And an 06 model will be even harder to find.

Perhaps contacting a local dealer? It will probably be expensive than finding it on the net, but at least youll get it.

Itilian bikes are a bugger to get fairings/panels for. My mate bought a Derbi Gpr (I know its Spanish) that had been down the road and he had to pay £400 quid for the right side fairing and the bit by the tail-light. He came off the other day and ruined both the fairings. Unlucky sod.
