Fitting chain and sprockets to NSR

Just ordered a new set.

Is it fairly straight forward? I have quite a collection of tools and am pretty confident when it comes to these things but am wondering if there are any tips that people have - with the benefit of hindsight?

Does the front sprocket come off ok? I am thinking it best to loosen the bolt(s) before removing the rear wheel and chain to give the sprocket no movement.

All tips welcome - apart from those of a negative nature in which case, the are not. Welcome that is. You know what I mean.

I cant remember 100% how I did it, but I remember how easy it was.

I put the bike up onto a rear paddock, took off the chain, from there I removed the back wheel to change the sprocket, then I took the front sproket off, came off really easily, I then cleaned up the area around the sprocket.

I did this process but backwards to put the chain and new sprockets on, took me about an hour I think (had my dads help mind).

Lubed up the chain and it was ready to roll.

When you have the wheel off and the chain split join the new chain to
the old one at the top and pull the old chain from the bottom and it saves
time.You just need one part of the split link to join then.

I see what you mean, but if I am changing the front sprocket then doesnt the chaim need to be of entirely?

Or am I missing something?
