I have been riding 2.5 years and up until Saturday I had never had a crash / off.

If it was not for a lovely looking 19 year old female in a new Mini Cooper deciding her car had a rocket booster on the back propelling it from 0-1000mph in 0.23 seconds I would still have a clean record.

The bint pulled out on me. Evil or Very Mad

I was approaching an island, I got in the correct lane and slowed down to a crawl pace to observe and check what traffic was coming from the right.... all was clear so I moved onto the island, all sound no problems I am halfway across the island (Going straight over) and missy in the super fast I can make any minute gap decides its safe to cross the island.

I slam the breaks on, in a bit of a panic do some serious cool stoppie (or so my mate says) plough smack into the side of the car, hit the corner / top of the car, slide across the roof hitting the conrete with ones head then sliding down the road! Evil or Very Mad

Ambulance, police, fire engine, air amublance turn up........... and so the story goes.

I am not able to walk for a short period of time and I am in absolute agony!!! Evil or Very Mad

Think once, think twice, think bike. Thumbs Up

Ride safe people and watch out for these menacing pixxies which jump out from nowhere!

At least it's a clear cut case of her not looking and so is entirely her fault. The fact you actually hit her in the side makes it a very easy case to sort out so take some comfort from that!

Anyway, hope you heal fast and it's nothing more than torn ligaments/muscles (which still hurt like hell!) rather than broken bones.

Go to your GP and get yourself checked out. Even if your hospital let you go home you must do so. If you hit your head you will have a stiff neck if anything and it's best to be safe than sorry. You will also need the GP's report if you stand any chance of getting some compensation.

Oh and hope you got the girls number Wink

get your rags on and prepare to clean her out , as 3d Says , you hitting her side = very good chance of a 100-0 , though this does still increase your insurance though.

but when you feel better prep your attack you want to use nuclear weapons in such a scenario,

look for CCTV cameras and ask the council for the tapes, nay demand them , bus companies also have lots of cameras that can see out of windows , witnesses are a poor 2nd.

Cheers for the "Get Well" Messages folks, in response to the "What clothing comment" I had my Technix 1 peice race suit on, my Alpine star boots, wolf gloves and Ti-tech helmet....... All of which have seen better days.

The suit has worn through where I have slid over the care / concrete but thank god not a scratch on me and the lid took a pretty decent smash off the very acrobatic mid air nose dive.

As for broken bones I have none but torn ligaments, tendens, muscles a plents especially around the pubic / lower abs region hence not being able to walk.

*****Note it still all works down there - The mrs recommended I lie back and think of england so i happily obliged.*****

I did not however managed to wrangle a trip in the air ambulence as I was not "Serious" enough to warrent it, despite the fact they dispatched it soley for me??! Confused

With regards to the cameras and other witnesses I have 2 witnesses and she has already claimed full liability so sense says no need to speak to the council etc at this moment in time!

To be honest if this was going to happen it has happend at exactly the right time, coming up to winter - NEW BIKES GETTING CHEAPER! Very Happy

I think my next beast is going to have to be a fully faired SV1000! Twisted Evil

I am itching to get a new bike already! Very Happy

Uninformed friend: "So how did you two meet?"

You: "Silly bird pulled out on me didn't she, doesn't matter though she bought me a new bike"

Laughing

Hope you're alright mate and healing way, get pics up of the bike asap, it's interesting seeing other people's misfortunes!

What exactly do you mean by "island"? How did you manage to hit the side of her - if you were "on" it first, she should have hit the side of you, unless she was really accelerating hard. I've probably got my mental picture of it all wrong - diagram please! Smile

Unless you mean a roundabout, and she pulled out from your left (you only mentioned a right, but that might not be related).

Anyway, get well soon.

Yeah when I say Island I actually mean Roundabout - No traffic lights or any other traffic calming just plain old mayhem.

I am sorting some photo's out today as I am up and about on crutches so all is not too bad.

I have to say I love the sympothy I get from the ladies, I had my Missus round all day sunday pampering me, some eye candy sunday night and my ex round yesturday....... I think I may string this out a little. Twisted Evil

As for the driver of the car my mate who was following on his 636 was chatting to her and the passenger (Her mom) while I was being tended to in the ambulence, he says she has very large lungs and is also a little cutey..... At least I dont need to break the ice on this one and have already got the foundations of flirting laid! Laughing

On a serious note I could have slapped her Father all over the place, I was half dead (Not quite but ads too the picture) in the ambulence and the paramedics popped out to look at the driver of the car and left me alone as I was up and awake and half ok......

In walks the dad who was not at the scene when anything happend and in a obnoxious knobish tone said "Im the Father and want your details"............

Not are you ok? When your up and about lets exchange details? Just a plain Rude prick.

I guess he did not notice his daughter made me smash my body off her car then the concrete then slide for a little bit..... Other than that I am sure he is a lovely person....

He remains on my christmas card list....... (Anthraz is a wonderful thing) Rant over. Laughing Only kidding. Thumbs Up
