where can i get a hpi check done on a motorcross bike, i've got 1 im thinking about buying but i want to check before i buy just to be sure?
cos i know the police just take the bike youve paid for off you if it's stolen and you end up losing out because they wont do anything to whoever nicked it in the first place

cheers

if its been owned by licenced racer amca used to register frame/engine nos on database . i don,t know if acu do either.

obviously this only helps with stolen bikes all you can do ring a few companies who do these checks . good luck

i rang around some local mx shops who said ring the police with the engine and frame numbers, so i asked for the numbers and asked the police if they could check it for me and they said its against some privacy protection act?? so i rang the shop where he said hed bought it from and they verified everything so i went and picked the bike up. it is like new, all frame numbers matched up and they helped me put it on the lorry Thumbs Up so i was glad i checked everything out first to make sure.
but i was surprised the police wernt interested, i had to giver her my name and address before she take the numbers off me then when she said they couldnt give me any information about it she suggested 'asking them to take it to a garage with me for them to have a look at the bike, and if he didnt want to go then id have to suspect something was up and walk away'

however i played around with it on sunday morning and then went out to wake up the locals Twisted Evil and through all the heath land and commons to get see if it was all working ok. ill try and make a vid or at least get some pics up of it.
i thought because it was a 2 stroke it would need revving to get going anywhere like my rgv250 road bike but oh boy it is nippy as hell Thumbs Up loving it. i eventually started running low on petrol so called it a day came home and hosed it off

Don't forget, if the polis catch you on public land on a moto-X bike, they will confiscate and crush it.

can only use moto-X bikes on private land, and dedicated circuits.

Not beking a kill-joy, just don't want to see you lose a fun toy cos you didn't know.
