Hi, this thing im talking about.

I believe that this is the original one (not sure if you can see but the bottom 2 holes dont match the packet exactly) so i assume there is an uprated one on the bike.

I believe this is causing me problems with starting and with a lumpy tickover (would one of these cause them problems?) Also after highspeed riding, then low speed, bike sounds like its flooding.

Im thinking that its not really needed on there, so debating about putting the standard one back on.

Thing is, where the hell do they go? Could someone point me in the right direction? Near carbs, near throttle?

If anyone has actually changed one, feel free to write a step by step

Could possibly be causing at least some of the problems you describe. Putting it back to stock is probably the best way to find out.

Probably have to take off the lhs engine cover where the flywheel is, then just a couple of bolts to replace it. might need a new gasket for the cover. Don't take my word for it though.

It's interesting that it says in the instructions that you need to be careful how it's set up w.r.t. air gaps otherwise you'll get poor starting and (presumably) misfiring...
