What have you bought (Input and outputs shafts, with gears, I assume)?

Fitted to what (basic japanese in-line-four)?

Waht was up with you're old one? It's pretty hard to break a WHOLE gearbox Smile

its on a zxr 400 h1, and the one that ive orderd is a full gearbox with rods and drums and selectors. its only costing 80 quid with postage.

basicly on mine i have lost all of my gears i only have 1 and 2. i was slowing down from bout 110 and i put it down into 4th and it just seamed that i had pulled the clutch in then all of a sudden the rear end locked up und it started coming sideways then it started spining again and i took it down the gearbox till 2nd and pulled into my mates place. it was making a crunching sound when i was going slow. and then wen i tried to come home it only had 1st and it kept hitting a false nuetral when i tried going into 2nd. i then got it into 2nd and 3rd but i had to change down at a junction and then it would only work in 1st and 2nd.

Sounds like one of the selector forks has given up. Hope you can replace all the bits just by taking the crankcase bottom off and working from there, because, as BLUEX5 says, if you have to dismantle it from the top down it's gonna cost you plenty.
