 |
|
Friend of mine just got & repaired a NC24 (got it for around 4000ZAR, which is equal to about 330pounds) and spent another 200pounds to get it in perfect condition. 6000km on the clock.
Problem is that he didn't get a manual with the bike and I do not have the experience with smaller bikes that is needed to help. Have gotten hold of the NC30 workshop manual which seems to cover most of what is needed, but cannot find any mention on how to check the oil level - on the sidestand or whilst bike is held upright.
Is the procedure the same as with the CBR1100XX - start the bike up and let it idle for a couple of minutes, then switch off and let oil drain to bottom for a couple of minutes then check on dipstick....
Then as well: according the the NC30 manual, 2.5l oil is needed on oil & filter change. Is this correct.
Thanx

Don't need to run the bike. Just check it with the motor cold. The bike MUST be on a level surface and upright though. So not on the sidestand/paddock stand.
The amount of oil to put in should be on the R/H engine casing somewhere. ____________________ My Flickr |
